My mother was born Elizabeth Veronica Dietz on February 4, 1925 in Carlinville, Illinois. I am searching for any of her family. I know her father's name was Bernhard F. or J. Dietz, born abt 1884, and was a brick layer. Her mother's name was Wilhelmina Monica Fritz, born abt 1890. Not sure where either was born. I know my mother was the 8th child born to these two. I also know that when she was 2 yrs. old, she was placed in a Catholic orphanage in Alton, Illinois along with a brother who was 4 yrs. old at the time. My grandparents adopted her from there abt 1927.

If anyone knows anything about this family, I would greatly appreciated any information.
