There is a way for you to find out the truth about your adoption and that is through the Illinois Confidential Intermediary Program. It is a court appointed search for biological relatives by court order. This releases all information concerning birth and adoption. It is not uncommon for the amended birth certificate to leave out the hospital where you were born but the original certificate that is sealed would say where you were born.
