My father was adopted from a home for unwed mothers (I think) in Wheeling, WV. He and his twin sister were adopted by the same family, the Johnstons of Martins Ferry, OH. The twins were born in December of 1954 (I think).
The twins both have a petitie stature in adulthood, (father was 5'7", twin sister, 5'4"), dark brown hair with a tendancy to go gold, bright blue eyes, and a medium complexion. My father also had a lazy eye (which is an inherited trait).
My father is deceased, so I have no idea how to go about finding his birth family. If you can help or know of someone who gave up twins that might match the above description, please contact me at owings01@email.franklin.edu.
