I found Chester Dodge born abt. 1917 living in an Orphans home and day nursery in Salt Lake City on 1920 census. He is listed along with his brother George, and many other children in the orphanage.

I found a Chester R Hess b. 1916 living with the Hess family in Plymouth, Box Elder Co on 1930 census. Dosen't indicate he is adopted however.
