Recently in RI you can register your name at the family court house in Providence and if an adopted person is searching for their family and have also registered they can be reunited.I'm not sure if it applies to all cities in RI or just Prov.but it could be worth checking out.I do remember reading that only direct birth family members can register,parent,sibling,grandparent.Also you would have to know the birthday of the adopted person.
