Adopted into a duel-sided 2nd Generation Naval Officer family, my adoptive parents told me frequently, informatively & appreciatively of my adoption in earliest childhood, describing me as "wanted." Told my entire life that I AM Native American, on Maternal side, with perhaps Jewish fatherhood, and three older siblings; my desire to meet my natural family has NEVER WAINED.
Many years I asked them to help me find my "natural" family;" but they declined for fear that "my natural mother parents would slam a door in my face."
Reason for adoption was "Pending Divorse" with her legal husband, which according to law would be my putative father, as any child born during a marriage is legally considered offspring flowing from the husband of the mother, unless paternity tests would prove otherwise. Reconciliation in the wings, perhaps my adoption as a condition, concieved on or about Halloween, would explain my adopted parents concern. Things change thru time which heals all wounds an 98 percent of Birth parents indicate desire to BE FOUND...having moved insessantly with my Dad's Naval change of Duty Stations...I would be difficult to track...so for the past few years since my honey built me this Pentium 4 Computer...I have been searching thru posts.
My Adopted mother told me just prior to her passing approx. 16 yrs ago, of a document that she saved for me in her Safety Deposit Box. With a Blue-Anchor Letterhead; the symbol for Rhode Island, so I wasn't informed of my actual NAME until after her death in Aug 1998. Post after posts...this is only my story in part...please email me
