Trying to figure out if New Jersey issued amended birth certificates for children adopted in 1917. My Great Grandfather Stephen Scurato (originally Alexander S. Gross) was adopted in Mercer County. I already have the adoption records, but no amended or original birth certificate. Could I get either one or both?
