I am looking for any information on the adoption of my grandmother:

her maiden name (post adoption) was Kathleen Elizabeth Marie Wyche - she didn't use Marie.

She was born March 31, 1923 in Wilson County.

She was adopted by Squire Wyche and Georgia (Cooke) Wyche.

Her children say she had 2 brothers who could possibly still be living. The oldest relatives who actually knew the name of her mother are deceased. I was told that when Kathleen died in 1985, her birth mother was still living (I can't remember who said this). I was also told by a cousin on another side of the family that she was possibly adopted by her aunt; however, there is no way to verify this. Any assistance or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
