Have you been able to find more info? I'd be glad to help with your search. My husband was from New Hanover Co and was also adopted. No one in his family would discuss his birth mother. Her family has nothing to do with her to this day. We did find her though after searching several years, as well as his half siblings. Now I'm searching for his birth father, but don't know if the info his birth mother gave us is correct or not.
