Thanks for the tips. I will be sure of the pencil and leave my folders and purse in the trunk of the car. While Wallace is very small and the library has not much in genealogy materials, they do have the old town newspapers....wish they had the year of the birth........
The Miner's Museum actually had directories which will be helpful as I used them for other family members last visit.
I will indeed ask about the basement! Good point and I have heard there may be opportunities in some. If I am lucky the Holy Trinity Church will have a new pastor.......the one I saw last time was a basket case and hard to talk with...........also made me feel uncomfortable.
I do understand your need to keep occupied with this particular hobby.......if just seems to consume one like being a "private eye" investigator! Have you tried volunteering for Random Acts of Genealogical Kindnesses? It is a wonderful web site and I do two counties here in Washington State. It is amazing what difference it makes to others. Bless you for your time spent on others!
Regards,
Linda
