I did the Ancestry DNA recently and am hoping it can help somehow. More info: my DOB is 7/06/1969 at 5:28 pm, I was adopted from the Children's Home Society on or about August 5, 1969. I have a photo of me as a newborn pre-adoption and the receipts and some letters from the CHS that I found when my mom passed away 2 years ago. She had kept them! She loved me very much.
My birth certificate shows I was delivered by Marshall D. Matthews, Major, MC. I don't have my non-identifying info but I was told the name on my birth cert was Baby Girl Lee. The return address on the envelopes from the adoption agency is from their Oakland branch. The adopted family was last name Barton from San Mateo. I am afraid that no one from my birth family knows about me, so no one is looking for me, and that my birth parents have passed away.
I simply want to know that I have family somewhere that I am connected to, and that I am not alone. I have a wonderful husband and children and am very happy, I just feel a gap in my heart and need to know that I have a family somewhere.
