My dad was found on the court house steps wrapped in a blue blanket in a basket. The papers from the orphanage said very nice brand of blanket. The courthouse was in Mobile, AL. They estimated his birth as 01.03.1943.
Dad went to look at his records when he turned 21 but was told the court house had burned along with all of the records of adoptions. But, there has got to be some kind of record of his birth.
He was adopted by Jimmie and Easter Moore of Talladega, AL
