My gg uncle was Henry McCroban married Joanna Slack on 20 June 1919 in Edinburgh. On 26 April 1921 their son James was born. Unfortunately Joanna died a few weeks after childbirth and was buried in Warriston cemetery. As far as I can gather, James was brought up by maternal family. My gg uncle Henry died in 1953 and also buried in Warriston. Was James brought up with the maiden surname of Slack? Can anyone help please? I am in possession of photographs which may interest James if he is still alive.
