My GGgrandmother was baptized on August, 1809 in Belfast, N. Ireland and is listed as 'Child was a Foundling' in this Church of Ireland, St Anne's Shankill Parish, record.
Her name was Sarah Hamilton.

Does anyone know the history of 'foundlings' in Belfast at that time? Family oral history says her family was not happy with her choice of husband so she was disowned upon her marrige. So I think she was adopted.
