I was born in 1966 at Sacred Heart Convent Blackrock Cork, my mother was unmarried aged 23 at the time. Her family always told me that my mum was highly strung and bad with her nerves. Luckily I never was adopted but how would my mum have left with me knowing what these places were like, she came to England with me when I was about 2 months old. She never really talked about the place and suffered with history of mental brakdowns all her life.
