I`m trying to help a friend find her maternal grand-mother...Her name was Margaret O`Shea and she was approximately 17-19 years old in 1950 and came over to the UK to have her baby which was subsequently adopted...Margaret worked for a woman by the name of Annette Hart as a domestic assistant..in Lauderdale Mansions in London...we dont know if she stayed in London after the birth or if she decided to return to Ireland..we dont even know which part of Ireland she was from..but are hoping maybe this rings a bell with someone...the baby`s name was Maureen Theresa O`Shea and she was born on the 10th July 1950 in Paddington...Its quite possible that Margaret is still alive..lets hope someone can help..Thanks for looking and good luck with your own searches...
