HI I lost my reply so you might get two! You seem to have searched a lot on the birth side, have you searched the mother's side back to parents'grandparents and come forwards to find living relatives, maybe another child? She might have left paperwork when she died. You said originally she was born in Oct 1904 not 1906. Her mother is easy to trace - looks like she was born in 1897 in Lewisham and married in 1906 to Albert Henry Stevens in Greenwich. You would need to order the certificates from the general register office. Maybe their line holds the answer, but it would have been a private adoption, maybe done by her doctor, so you may never know unfortunately.
