Can anyone give me any advice in finding my grandfathers birth parents. He was adopted in the early part of the 20th century when no national records were kept.

His adoptive mother was a midwife so this may have been why she was able to adopt him.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I know his adoptive name but not his birth name. He was born in 1898.

Help please.
