I have also just found this link - it only gives a very small snippet of information but I thought it might come in handy to anybody else researching this or other mother and baby homes:
http://www.childrenshomes.org.uk/list/MH9.shtmlIt states that St Catherine's House in Newark was open by 1930 (from other sources I believe it was opened in 1922) and was for "Fallen and preventive cases; temporarily; 10s.; free from Deanery." There were spaces for 6 women and there was no min/max age limit for admissions.
