I see that you offered to help Sheila Edwards to trace her birth family.

I was born in the same mother and baby home 15.12.1960

My mother is a closed book and I am conscious that time is running out for me.

I wasn't adopted but she will not give me full information about my father. I have always felt alien in her family and she brought me up in a cult which took many years to escape.

I was happily married but my husband sadly died and more so I am aware that time is short.

I am seriously ill now and my whole life has been built on the chasm of the absence of my father and the lack of positive male role models in my life.

All I know is that my father's surname was Roberts and he was in the year below my mother at school.

I would like help to find him. If you can help I can give you some more information that might help.

I contacted one man who may be a possibility but after initial pleasantries he simply stopped replying when I started, gently to introduce the fact that he might have 'known my mother at school'. I didn't go into anything else but as soon as I mentioned her name he withdrew. he is a well-known politician, did attend school with my mother, the year below and is the only male pupil with the right name, according to the relevant Archive officer, of the right age

I am not whole and never have been, really.
