I have been trying to trace my grans illegitimate daughter of whom she had adopted, I have through, another member, been able to trace her birth cert. I know that she is now dead but would like to try and trace her family.

I'm not sure how to trace her death cert as I don't have her married name, but was hoping that maybe one of her relatives are using this site and see this message.

Her name was CAROLYN E SMITH born April/May/June in Sodbury 1945 (6a 483) my grans maiden name is on the birth cert, SKIDMORE. I think that my gramps made her put that on there, not sure why. He was at war when she got pregnant by another man.
