Hi all who may have read my posts with info on adoptions from Germany. I sometimes mentioned a friend who was looking for his siblings.
He had posted a query on Ancestry asking for asssistance to him find his half-siblings. His birth mother had given up her first four children - 1 for foster care within the family and 3 for adoption, one of them was David in the US, then she got married and had two more. All the children'S fahters were US military men.
With a lot of assistance from other people, from different offices and archives in Germany his dream came true: he is in touch with all his half-siblings born before the mother got married and all of them are very happy to have met each other after so many years of unfulfilled desire. They are all in their 50s and 60s and will soon come together for a family reunion in Germany. I had met some of them personally already, before the German siblings met each other. It is so very much rewarding to share the happiness of these people.
David says he would be willing to talk to anybody who also wants to find his birth family. (So would the others I could help).
Feel free to get back to me if you want to talk to any of these US adoptees.
