Hey Bethany, just thought I'd let you know. I spoke with my dad and he said the name didn't ring a bell. He said he doesn't know of a family in El Tecolote with Mendez as a last name. It's really small and everyone know everyone. But he said I should ask my grandmother to be sure. She's in El Tecolote right now so I won't have an answer for you until she gets back (which I don't know when that will be). I'm working on my family tree so I am definately going to follow up with her. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Maybe if you had a second last name or double check the city?
