I am searching for the birth parents of Leslie Ann Karle born Dec. 14, 1956 in Los Angeles California. She was given up for adoption. All I know about her is that her mother's maiden name was Thomas and that she one of two daughters in her own family. She was 5 foot 9 inches tall and worked in an office, was Roman Catholic, and her father had had a heart attack but recovered and was working in a factory, and her mother had had high blood pressure when she was younger but was better and was a homemaker. Her sister went to two years of business school and was a homemaker. She herself went to two years of college. She had a grandfather who was an opera singer who and was an unusally vigorous man until he died in his 60's of an intestinal problem. Her grandmother lived until the age of 76.

Her natural father was 6 foot 2 inches tall and had dark brown hair, hazel eyes and fair complexion. He had a high school diploma and worked as a business manager in a company. He was one of five brothers and his parents were still married though separated for many years. His family also had musical talent. He enjoyed music, dancing, sports, and gardening. He was born in 1913. I do NOT know if his last name was Karle or if the last name Karle could have been the married name of the Miss Thomas that gave birth to the baby that she named Leslie Ann Karle and then gave up for adoption.

It seems that I heard in the family that both of the birth parents were married to other people, but I am not sure if I remember this correctly or not. I am searching for this family for medical purposes. Leslie Ann Karle was my cousin, and her name was changed to Jill Noel Lutz. She later had 5 sons. I adopted one of her sons. She died of a rare form of lung cancer that is genetic and that may be passed from mother to daughter. What I am concerned about is whether it could also have an effect on the sons? Or if there are any other medical problems that these boys shoudl be aware of. The adoption records in California are closed and I do not know how to go about finding out anything, so if there is anyone out there that knows anything about these families.
