My birth name is Tammy Lynn Kelly. I was born in Gainesville, FL in August 1970. Don't know why but I was taken and put in foster care. I was adopted in 1975. The only papers I have show that I had four sisters when I was taken. When I was 1 1/2, they were listed as ages 6,8,9,and 12. I don't know their names, and have no memories of them. I do know that two of them had Down Syndrome, and a few years ago found out that they were sent to Sunland in Gainesville. It was an institution. That breaks my heart since I have a child of my own with DS and to think that they lived without families hurts. I've always wanted to know what happened and why, and wish I could find them.. If you knew anyone with this family situation in the early 70's in Gainesville, Fl. I'd love to have anything to go on. Fl has sealed adoption records and I can't afford to invest money into the search, it just would be nice to find them. Thank you.
