My grandfather was born on 16/07/1909. in Brisbane Queensland. His mother lived with the Duke family at a boarding house at Maxwell Place, Ann Street Brisbane. She was supposed to have left him with the Dukes and they raised him as their own. His name was James Alfred ( maybe different to his birth name). His mother was supposed to have come from North Queensland. We can find no trace of his birth or adoption as there is not much information to go on. He has to have some family somewhere wondering whatever happened to him.Thankyou..
