I am in the process of tracing my fathers family tree! I have hit a massive roadblock as we have recently discovered (on obtaining a birth certificate) that his father was a Reginald Cox from Melbourne and we had been under the impression his father was a Kenneth Maxwell Morrison Warren, My father (John Warren) was born on 18th November 1957 and his mother was a Roma Emma Mary Brooks.

Reginald since my Fathers birth we are lead to believe had nothing todo with either my grandmother or father leading me to an extent to believe that Reginald didnt know he had a child with my Grandmother.
I am unsure if any of Reginalds family would have known about my father or if possibly they did.

Sorry I dont have much information regarding Reginald Cox as both my Grandmother and the one person (dads sister) who would have known more have passed and the person who gave tiny bit more information didnt know much as was a taboo subject, except that he was based in Melbourne and would have been born in the 1920's or 30's (possibly earlier) and one photo that was taken around the time of my fathers birth (they are a mirror image of eachother) she had met him once in the early 1950's but that was all.

My grandmother moved to Melbourne in around 1955/6 from Adelaide and was in Melbourne untill 1958/9 when she returned to Adelaide with a Son who was around 12-8months old, Roma passed away in 1996, My Grandmother had family in Melborne who lived in Melton / Bacchas Marsh area, so unsure if this is where they met? or possibly were based / both lived?

Any more details / leads would be greatly appreciated as I would love to be able to piece together this part of my fathers life for him.
