I'm researching a friend's family tree, and she'd like to know more about her mother, who was adopted. My friend does not know her mother's birth name, just her adopted name and date and place of birth. Is it possible to find her biological parents' names? If my friend went to the Salvation Army or similar, would they be able to help? Or is this needle in a haystack type stuff?
