I am looking for information about how to find private or public adoption records for my father in Oklahoma. He was born in 1934 (as far as we know) in around the Idabel/Hugo/Valiant, OK area or we have also heard Texas. There were five children all together that were put into an orphanage in Idabel or Hugo, OK. My father was the youngest of the five with the oldest being a girl and the rest of the siblings being boys. He was adopted to a family in Muskogee County, OK by the name of Brownfield, and then an ad in a newspaper around Muskogee County was placed for a private adoption around 1934-37 where he was put up for adoption again. He was then adopted by Earl and Goldie Stout from Porum, OK from the Brownfields. Would anyone please know where I could look to find the ad in the newspaper and which newspaper to start looking from that time period or to find any records from these adoptions that took place?
