My great grand aunt got pregnant at a early age and her father signed over the baby to be placed for adoption. It is believed that my great-grand aunt was sent to Williamsburg (possibly the Eastern State Hospital). If anyone knows what happened to the baby I would love to hear from you. The only thing I know is that it was a girl and possibly born around 1951.

I do not know whether the adoption was open or closed, most likely closed given the period. Bless her heart, Virginia isn't able to give me any details so if this sounds like anyone out there born in the Williamsburg area, please contact me on here or by email..

Mother's last name was Rice, and my grandfather doesn't remember the father's name.
