He is listed in the 1920 census under his "adoptive" name with his adopted parents (relationship to head of house is even said to be as adopted son). Listed only as one month old, as the actual date of birth is anyone's guess I suppose. He was found in late December of 1919, and the date he was found was always his "birthday". Since the date on the census is January of 1920, that would make him only one month old. The only "lead" for a birth name would be the 'S' on the handkerchief.
I realize there could be multiple situations like this given the time period, orphan trains, and whatnot; however, this is a small community and I am sure that the particular article I have is about him. It is known that the found baby was placed with this particular family.
Just hoping there could be more information out there.
