My grandmother was adopted from St. Ann's Orphanage (she was born out of wedlock) and adopted at 9 months old to Alice (Murphy) & Roy Hayes. There was a fire and all the records were burned. She has no birth certificate, she only has her adoption papers. Does anyone know about this adoption or Alice & Roy Hayes?

My grandmother's birth name was Bernice.
