UPDATE: I located my sister just before Thanksgiving and connected. She looks so much like our mom. We have spent the past 4 months catching up on 50 years.

I am seeking my half sister (birth name:Jacqueline Lewis) born 24 April 1961 in Durham/Greensboro NC. The Children's Home Society of Greensboro facilitated the adoption. The baby was adopted around 6 weeks of age (est 1-10 June 1961).

Birth mother's maiden name was Lewis and was 17 at the time of birth.
Birth father was from Rocky Mount and married at the time.

I've read several places and not sure if this is the case that NC, upon adoption, changes Birth Certificates to reflect adoptive parents as birth parents and place of birth to the county where the adoption took place. I've also read the sometimes the birthday was changed to the date of adoption.
