172nd Infantry Regiment - WWII
I have a number of photos of the 172nd Infantry Regiment, taken from late 1930's training maneuvers through World War II. Many are from Camp Blanding, Florida and were taken in 1942 and 1943. Some also are from Dry Prong, Louisana. A few are from Munda and Arundel Islands, New Georgia in 1943-1944. Almost all are of members of Company F. If you had an ancestor or relative in Co. F, I am willing to share these with you. Some have last names, some have nicknames and some have no name associated with the photo.

Re: 172nd Infantry Regiment - WWII
My grandfather served ASN 310 76 150, Edwin Leard, Technician 4th Grade and was KIA Sept. 7, 1943 in New Georgia area during the heavy fighting period. Looking for pictures or info. Believed he was also aboard President Coolidge on trip accross Pacific.

Re: 172nd Infantry Regiment - WWII
Which company was he in? My photos are almost entirely of individuals in one company. If you give me his name, I will check to see if I have him listed in my file.
