Millard Rowden was born 14 September 1893. He enlisted with the Marine Corps in 1917. He became a machinist and eventually was assigned to the USS "Medusa". The "Medusa" was at Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941 near the seaplane tender, "Curtiss". I would like to know if Millard Rowden was on board or in the Harbor area during the attack. Millard Rowden passed away 18 May 1970 in San Diego, CA. Any info on Rowden would be appreciated. Thanks Brian

You can get a copy of his complete military record at the NARA ...Form 180...www.archives.gov

Ancestry.com also has "WWII US Navy Muster Rolls" and shows his last time on the Medusa was the quarter ending March 30, 1940. He then was on the ship Vestal and a quarter on the Yorktown. He was at the US Naval Air Station San Diego, quarter ending Sept 30 1941 and still there quarter ending December 31, 1941. Service Number to order records:341 43 97
enlisted Dec 18, 1936.

Get a subscription to Ancestry and you can download and print out records. Or look at Fold3, they have Military databases.
