I am searching for an obituary and/or photo of Donald E Hunter from Hunlock, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, He was the son of Eugene and Harriet Hunter. Born in 1925, he was killed in action on Nov. 25, 1944 and is buried in Margraten, Netherlands in the American military cemetery. My sister is sponsoring his grave in the Netherlands and would love to see a photo of this man. Does anyone have any information of him to share? He also had a sister, Faye, who was born about 1927. Any help would be much appreciated.

P.F.C. (Private First Class) Donald E. Hunter was assigned to the 116th Infantry Regiment (Virginia National Guard) 29th Infantry Division when he was K.I.A. November 25, 1944. Have you obtained P.F.C. Hunter's I.D.P.F. (Individual Deceased Personnel File)? The I.D.P.F. is invaluable to begin ACCURATE historic research.

No, I have not. I didn't know there was such a thing. I looked this up online and found information on how to obtain it. Thanks for your suggestion. Any ideas on whether a military photograph may be obtained for this soldier or where to look for one?

Thanks!
