I'm trying to find an obituary of the late Army Air Force Captain Bobby A. Cook, or of any member of his immediate family. He was the pilot of a C-87 transport aircraft that disappeared on a flight between India and China, on April 9, 1943, during World War II. His army enlistment record states that he was a resident of Alameda County, California when he enlisted on June 2, 1941. It also states that he was born in California in 1918. The Army Air Force declared him missing in action and presumed dead. On October 16, 2008, the wreckage of his aircraft was finally found in a remote region of northeast India.
