Ethel D. Klinke Ledley passed away January 7, 2015 in Eugene, Oregon.
She was 98 years old.
Ethel went to nursing school in Schenectady, New York and joined the Army in 1944.
She met her husband while in the Army in South Carolina.
Ethel was a 2nd Lieutenant and served as a nurse in North Africa, France and England.
She also worked as a nurse for many years at the Whirlpool Corporation in Marion, Ohio.
She was a member of AM-Vets of Ohio and the American Legion.
Ethel enjoyed traveling, was an avid gardener and had an extensive doll collection.
She was predeceased by her husband, Damon Edward Ledley.
She is survived by her son, Michael Ledley, of Duanesburg, NY; a daughter, Pam Meyer, of Eugene, Oregon; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Eugene, Oregon.
