I'm not sure if I should be looking under ww1 or ww2.
Stephen Quinn was a merchant seaman, I'm guessing in the UK as he had children born in Sunderland (not 100% on this fact) They were born in 1914, 1922 and 1934.
I assume his birth would be around 1890.
He was married to Elizabeth Crouse (this is 100% fact)
Any help much appreciated

BTW re search terms etcetera, bear in mond that WW1 era the British merchant fleet was just called the British merchant service, post WW1 it was called the British Merchant Navy aka the Merchant Navy.
