Liberty Ship Photos

Can anyone tell me where I can find information and photos on Liberty ships from WWII? I am looking for pictures of the SS Rosario, SS Steel Ranger, SS Dixiano, and SS Pearson for now and will need more when the Military documents arrive. I have looked all over and cannot find any photos. I found 1 of the SS Rosario, but it's not very good. I'm creating a book on my grandfathers Military history and kinda want good quality photos if possible and also want some history on what they carried and if they sunk or what happened to them. I'm kinda confused if maybe they had different names?

Thanks for your help!
Shelly

Shelly,
One way to find a lot of the ships' pictures is to google the ship's name . One good site for a lot of them is
http://www.armed-guard.com/ag24.html
Frequently the shipyard where they were built and launched will also have photos.
Also, this site has a wealth of information - particularly info about the whole scope of involvement.

Good luck with your research,

BTW was your grandfather ever on the USS Zebulon B. Vance?

I haven't yet found the pictures I'm looking for, but I spoke to someone last Friday that sent me to the John W Brown museum and said they might have what I need for my research. No my grandfather Lawrence Heath was on the SS Rosario, SS Dixiano, SS Steel Ranger, and the Richmond Mumford Pearson. I'm still trying to figure out how ships changed names, because the Pearson is the only one that seems to show up in my research most of the time. I have found pictures of some of the ships, but they aren't very good.

Thank you for your help!
