Ancestry.com has a database of "New York Passenger Lists 1820 to 1957". It also includes crew lists.

May 23, 1948 a Trevor H. Little age 25 b. Wales signed on as a crew member of the U.S.S. Stoney Creek while at the Port of New York.

Also see he was on the U.S.S. Lone Jack signed on Aug 16, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Listed as cook age 25 b. Wales, nationality Wales/British, 5ft 6 inches tall, lenght of service at sea 11 yrs. discharged Aug 28th in Port of NY after sailing to Amuay Bay, Venezuela.

These are 2 entries of about 18 listings of a Trevor, or Trevor H. or Trevor N (typed H can be read as N) Little.

Try a 2 week trial subscription or see if your local libraries have it available for patrons to use.

Also the U.S. National Archives www.archives.gob has microfilms and a LDS Family History Center might have the database too.
