A woman's name on a war memorial... Margaret Grice

I live in Sheringham, Norfolk and we are researching women of the town. There is a woman's name on the local war memorial - Margaret Grice. This is commemorating WW2. I have done quite a bit of research around war memorials in the past and I have never seen a woman's name on one before. The strange thing is the name Grice is quite common in this small (would have been very small then..) fishing town. And yet no one seems to know anything about her or why she is on there. I tracked her down as having been born in 1924 and she died after the war 1945 in North Walsham (this is assuming it is the right Margaret but here are no others). She was unmarried. A lot of work has been done tracking down the men on the memorial but nothing can be found about her. I'm wondering what her name could be doing on that memorial? There is no record of her, that I can find, under military searches. Any help greatly appreciated!

I would contact the organization responsible for erecting the memorial. Thier archive should have the minutes of the meetings when it was decided who would be listed. Also look for any newspaper articles of the time it was decided to have it to when it was dedicated.
