129th General Hospital, WWII

I am looking for men and women who served with me in Northern Wales from July 1944 to August 1945.

I was an 861 medical technician and I am hoping to find others from my outfit. We were shipped back to the states for the invasion of Japan.

When we arrived back in the states our outfit was disbanded and we were assigned different Army hospitals in the states.

It would be great to hear from other 129th vets.

Hi Allan,

I landed in Scotland on July 4th, 1944.

We spent one week in Blackpool on the Irish Sea than moved to Northern Wales, outside of Wrexham, Wales.

I was stationed there until I shipped stateside in 1945. There was talk that we would be headed to the invasion of Japan. When the Japanese surrenedered my unit was disbanded.

I am 77 and would like to do a little chit chatting about our days in Britain, even though we were not in the same unit.
