I am looking for several of my Daddy's
Navy Buddies. He joined the
Navy on December 4, 1942 and served until January 25, 1946. He was 26 years old when he joined. He is now coming up on 84 in October and he is desperate to find some of his old friends. One of the was Walter
Carter. Walter was from Glenville NC. There was also a Hugh
Carter also from NC, but I don't have a city. There was also an Arthur Lee Brown from
Arlington Virginia. and a Johnny Munseil from Detroit
Michigan (Not sure my spelling of Johnny's surname is correct. Another of Daddy's buddies was Willie
Hughes from Akron
Ohio, and James Green from
Greenwood South Carolina. Daddy says that James was 18 when he enlisted and
Daddy was like a big brother to him. One of Daddy's officers on one of his ships was a Theo Ball, not sure of his hometown.

Stan Dillanvers. The last ship was the George W
Livey he was on this ship for 13 months and he crossed the Atlantic Ocean 24 times during his stay in the
