He was discharged in 1939, that vessel was his last ship.
He might have reenlisted during WW2 but apart from one 1939 ship's crew muster list for him on that vessel, all of the same names on subsequent muster lists have a different service number, and I don't know if when someone reenlisted in the U.S. Navy whether or not they were given a new service number.
As for supposedly being born in 1892, an enlistment age in 1935 of circa 43 years old, seems a tad on the high side.
