Surnames: Marty
My birth father was training with the RAF as part of the BCATP in or near Winnipeg in 1942/43. He was likely a Flying Officer or Pilot Officer. He told my birth mother in May 1943 that we was being sent back to the UK to active duty. That was when she became pregnant with me. He was later reported KIA over France in Sept. 1943. She only knew him as "Marty". He said he was from West Bromwich, he was about 27 at the time, fair haired, blue eyed and about 5'9" tall. I've been searching for 20 years trying to determine his full name. Some sources have suggested he might have been an instructor due to his age but that hasn't been determined. The RAF can't provide records without a name or service number and the RCAF has reported that the records of who trained in Canada are no longer available.

Does anyone have any ideas?
