I have been doing some research on a relative of mine lost during WW2 “Joseph Flynn USCG”, (b. brooklyn ny)served on The Jackson, but the ship was lost in 1944.

On 14 September 1944 The Jackson went to help a torpedoed merchant vessel George Ade off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, in the midst of a powerful hurricane. The Jackson lost 22 of her crew.

There is info on the web, on this event, but sadly no one has a photo of him. I would like to have a photo of him if there are any ideas or recourses that anyone knows of. Thanks
