Hi I am trying to trace my Grandfather Horace Brook who I know died on 6 Feb 1944 and is buried in India. I do not know his date of birth and where he was born. I know he was in the King's Own Royal Regiment ( Lancaster ) I have found a record in the UK army Roll of Honor 1939 -1945 on Ancestry. Could i get a copy of his service record and how as the Army number is the same as my Granfather ( 4609087 ).
This may give me his date of birth and place of birth.
I have his Marriage & Death Certificate.
Would be grateful if someone could help as I have hit a brick wall
