I am searching for the military activity on my great grandfather, Alfred Raine, who served in WW1. I believe he was in the Yves, France area as an ambulance driver. I am looking for the dates he served and the regiment he was with. If anyone knows where I can find the information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Alfred Raine was in British forces. He was born in 1871 in Hunslet, Yorkshire. Just before turn of century, 1900, he and his family moved to Morecambe, Lancashire. They stayed there till he passed in 1954. Yes, he survived the was. He graduated from the University of Bradford in engineering, mechanical and electrical (2 degrees).
I get rather lost when searching through military records so I'm hoping this site will bring some information. Thanks.
