Robin all I am saying about the Army is from experience and not second guessing. I will not explain; but what I said is a fact since the Army has been in existence in most cases unless like a freak of nature. It is not assuming and maybe I might have left that impression.
From experience with the military. when something is going to happen. A lot of preparation is made and sometimes orders are cut. There was no computers at that time and there might have been many a carbon copy. I think I can safely say that your relative was put on the orders before he died. He would have no number if there was not an order cut for it.
He might have died in the process of those orders being cut and that is because those orders might have been cut several hundred miles away and sat and according to how it was delivered; but overall the Army is generally were very efficient and even during war time.
Distance, time, mode of transportation and communication play a big part.
As to your last question about the advertising. I don't know and I would have to research it. I think you should use the suggestions I made in my last thread unless "Info" has come up with something better.
God Bless and God Speed,
